Requesting data deletion
Last updated 22 September 2026
How to have data held in Collabicle deleted, including anything we received from Meta when a business connected its WhatsApp Business Account, its Facebook Pages or its Instagram accounts. Which route applies depends on whose data it is.
If you messaged a business on WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram
Your conversation belongs to the business you messaged. They decide what is kept and for how long; Collabicle only holds it on their behalf, so we cannot delete it on our own authority any more than a filing cabinet can empty itself.
Ask that business directly — the fastest way is to reply in the same conversation. If you would rather come through us, write to privacy@collabicle.com with the business's name and the number, Page or account you messaged, and we will pass your request to them and tell you we have done so.
If you use Collabicle
Write to privacy@collabicle.com from the email address on your account, saying what you want deleted:
- Your user account — we remove you and your personal details. Work you created inside an organization stays with that organization, because it belongs to the business rather than to you.
- An entire organization — everything in it: documents, notes, tasks, messages, files, tables and connected-channel conversations. Only an admin of that organization can ask for this.
- A connected WhatsApp number — disconnecting it in Collabicle revokes our access to that WhatsApp Business Account immediately. Tell us if you also want the stored conversations removed.
- A connected Facebook Page or Instagram account — disconnecting it in Collabicle, under Apps › Channels, ends our ability to publish to it, stops its direct messages reaching Collabicle, and destroys the stored access token immediately. Disconnecting a Page also disconnects the Instagram account reached through it. Posts your staff wrote and conversations already received stay in your organization, as your own records; tell us if you want those removed too. Posts already published stay on Facebook and Instagram, where only you can remove them.

- What we keep

Deleting data Meta sent us
When a business disconnects its WhatsApp Business Account, our access to it ends at Meta and the stored access token is destroyed. Business-scoped user IDs, phone numbers, profile names and message content held for that number are deleted on the same schedule above.
When a business disconnects a Facebook Page or an Instagram account, the stored access token for it is destroyed at once, and when the last account from a sign-in is disconnected so is the token from that sign-in. What is left is a record, not access: the Page or account's ID, name, category and profile picture, and the IDs Facebook and Instagram gave to posts published from Collabicle, stay with the organization as the history of what it published, and so do the direct messages it received and sent — the people's IDs, names, profile pictures and message content. Ask us and we delete those too, on the schedule above.
Removing the Collabicle app from your Meta business portfolio — or, for Facebook Pages and Instagram, from your Facebook account's Business integrations — has the same effect on our access, and we will delete the corresponding data on the same terms.
